DAY 122: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (in Swedish)

If I can, I try and read the book before I see the movie. Books are often far superior, you get drawn in to the characters and the special effects are just so much better. Often the movie will seem bland and misrepresentative of the actual story when you see it after reading the book. But I have made a special case for this because I have heard such good things about the movie and not so great things about the book. Well, the first one anyway. I also decided to watch the original Swedish movie with subtitles which I hoped would make the story feel closer to the truth, given its setting.

I absolutely loved the movie, it was a classic crime thriller. The story is brilliant, the characters feel like they have a history and a real incentive. It was also a mystery that truly intrigued me and wanted to know what had happened. All in all it was a fantastic movie.
